Just as an aside, believe you can convert the single front disc brakes on the wide glide to dual front disc brakes. Might make you more at home with duals up front. My Fat Bob has spoiled me; I wouldnt be able to ride another bike unless it had dual front discs. =)
Does anyone know any good sites that talk about how to put removable saddle bags on the wide glide? I heard "throw overseas" will scratch the paint...
I went through a long search for saddlebags. I ended up ordering some bags from leather pros. I just was not happy with the look or function of anything else I saw out there. The bags should be in any day now (was hoping for today actually) I will post a few pics and my first response if you would like.
I was in the same boat, was a sport bike rider! Need for very fast speeds!! I'm not saying I wouldn't get another sport bike, but I love my Harley! Time to chill out on that speedf **** , to dangerous now!
Thank you very much for the advice and info. Now I just have to figure out exactly what "full stage 1" means and what it does since the dealer told me "it has full stage 1." He acted like it was cool but I was clueless LoL
As stated im new to the HD scene too, but from what ive gathered reading other posts, the stage 1 is a combination of Aftermarket Air Filter system, exhaust, and efi tuner.

It's not all of that. It's a ECM download not tuner and they do something with the stock air cleaner. I think they just remove the black plastic piece on the back of the ac with a new backplate and filter. I skipped it and went with a power commander air cleaner and exhaust. And most on here do!!

Sure would love some pics, and thanks for the response.

Just hit search above and type in quick release, quick release bags...etc. There's a lot of great info on this site. I went with viking bags myself with the universal kit. I needed to buy different bolts but the price is great and the bags work great. They also sell a quick detach set up, which I haven't invested in yet because I don't see my bags coming off anytime soon.
Well, picked her up today. Road about 160 miles. Just curious... The first 50 miles or so felt very smooth... But then it got to seem like I felt every little bump in the road in the handle bars the last 100 miles... Is this normal after the bike starts to wear in, or should I be concerned...? I road on the interstate and state ahighways. Thanks for all the advice everyone, also threw up a couple of new images from tonights ride...
