Put on a 18" Akront rim and relaced with ss spokes. 140mmAvon Venomwith 13" PM disc and 6 piston dif. caliper - WORKS GREAT !
Powdercoated rim red and hub satin black - pics tomorrowI hope...
A poster here has put a 16 inch front wheel laced on a Sportster hub on to a Dyna narrow front end.
I'd call that a Fat Front Tire. He sent me photos of it in an email and the tire cleared the sliders by about a 1/2 inch or so on each side. Unusual set up, but that makes it different than all the rest, and it looked good......pg
The machine belongs to 'Billy' in Texas. He sent me 5 shots and I have included 1 here.
This is what I have been talking about.....build your own stuff just like you want it and different from anything else out there, if possible.
Billy did not follow the herd on this one!
I think it is the first I've seen with a 500-16 tire/rim laced on a Sporty hub sitting between narrow forks.
The narrow fender left a really nice touch to this build. It makes that fat tire even fatter. Personally, I love the look of it.....pg
ps... Billy, I hope you do not object to me posting your shot.
Wow - that is the "tractor' look - it almost looks like the front wheel is bigger than the back. NEVER SEEN IT & I LIKE IT !!!
I go for no fender, shaved mounts, powdercoated satin black sliders, large motocross boots on lowerfork tubes and top of slider, seal saver neoprene tubes on forks between triple trees. Front end is now black and huge. 3/8" between tire and fork slider...
There is also the 13" PM disc and 6 pis. dif. caliper in black. Photos this afternoon as a bud. is going to help me with it...
I can take a twinkie in a box - completely dissasembled - and build it - but I can't post pics. ... not good.....no no...
Piniongear,
Billy used a stock Street Bob Hub and had it laced to a 16" wheel. I am doing the same thing thanks to his help. My hub is on its way to be laced as I type. I ordered my tire this morning. Not quite as big as Exile Cycles behemoth's but I think it looks good. Billy did a great job.
