Harley makes a reduced-reach forward control kit, part #50700005, which moves the peg and controls back, up, and out slightly. Very nicely made and simple to install. Just stuck this on our Dyna yesterday, and now my wife doesn't need to scoot forward all the time to keep her feet on the pegs and reach the controls.
Kuryakyn sells peg extenders at different lengths. I installed an extender on my right peg to get me leg out around my air intake. I was having the same problem with my foot only being on the outer half of the peg. Works great now.
Joker Machine makes a long foot peg that solved a similar problem for me. These foot pegs are also serrated (moto style) so your feet don't slip. Here is a link: http://jokermachine.com/products/har...-footpegs.html
Thanks for the input fellas. Moving the controlls in ---not a option--- If anything I need my forwawrds to be more forward.. 6'4
I like the MX style but DAM they are proud of them $$
They are but not only would they look great on your scoot, they are comfortable as anything...
Based on some of the $$ you have already spent on your Mods, this is the least expensive but yet could be the most comfortable...
If you want the extra length so they are a little wider - you can get a regular pair of MX pedals and then buy the adaptor to transition them to your standard peg mounts - will give you about 1" extra width per side
I can post you a pic of what I did if you would like to see....
has anyone tried mounting a real set of bmx pedals on. i'm sure they're not as expensive
You would need an adaptor like this to make it work - but yes you could use any type of MX pedal on the market as they all pretty much have a 9/16" thread
