How do you use the SERT?
since the settings on the canned maps are for HD parts, if you install something other than HD, such asV&H Ovals or AN Big Sucker, these flow a bit different than the HD parts. you can select a canned map that is similar to what you have installed (SE AC vs AN BS). This will get you somewhat close, but not perfect. I did it on my UC, and it was still a bit lean. you can then use the sert program tomodify acanned map and then load it to the ECU.this takes some tinkering around and you may or may not get it right. having an exhaust sniffer or other tools to tell you if you are too rich or lean will help. or, you can be like me who didn't have the time to play with it and take the interface device to the dealer or someone else with a dyno and have them build you a custom map. if you do this, besides getting a copy of the dyno results (HP& torque) make sure you get a copy of the custom map from them on a memory stick or CD so that you have a copy of what they built in case you want to adjust it later, or need to reload it if the ECU were tofail. you can't retreive themap from the ECUonce it is loaded.

i have the sert on my Bob. its easy enough to use. theres a manual in the diysection - fuel injection.
i went through this before i bought and figured id be able to use it enough for what i needed, and hopefully some more.
I got mine so i could update after V7H slip-ons and hi-flow air filter, took a canned map loaded it, ran fine, some popping, some tweaking, and then some more tweaking, and no more popping and running fine.
For some extra fun, i did a data run ( a drive with the laptop on my back and connected to the ecm) and then did some tweaking in a few parts for extra power.
could do with a few more runs, maybe during the summer.
the good thing is you have full control over whats going to your ecm.
