Looking to add a Arlen Ness Big Sucker A/C to my 2012 Street Bob so need to get a tuner. I'm looking at the FP3 and the Power Vision wanted to get some opinions on which may be a better option. Let me know what you all think of either one.
I got the fp3. Blue tooth with my I phone tipped the scale for me. I was set on getting the power vision until the new fuel pak came out. They both do pretty much the same thing. I can only comment on the fp3 though.
The canned maps are limited pretty much to V&H pipes. What you see in the demo map list is what choices it gave me for canned maps to flash to my bike.
Having said that the canned maps work great. Just choose the pipe that is close. I am trying auto tune (100 miles into it,)but so fare no cells have been learned. It could be that the tune is where it needs to be( bike is running great).
I am going to call tech support to check though.
I would recommend the fp3 though. Just my .02 cents.
If you don't plan on anything more than a Stage 1, the FP3 is a good option. $300 and very easy to use, once you get things dialed in, you can take it off your bike.
The FP3 seems to be very limited since it only supports V&H exhausts. Powervision is available for canned maps from any exhaust system.
I hear what you are saying, but V&H owns a huge portion of the after market exhaust market. Just pick something close and use the auto tune feature. You then have a custom map that is not a piggy back system. Again, after you get things right, you can take the FL3 off your bike. Very good for a Stage 1. It will be interesting to see what (and if) the FP4 offers.
No experience with the Powervision. I had the Fuelpak LCD and just installed the FP3. So far I am very pleased. Just waiting to use the autotune feature.
