Default 2000 dyna-changing push rod tubes?

I've got a 2000 dyna fxdx, it's got 7k miles on it. Everything on the motor is beautiful and looks great except the pushrod tubes are peeling and look like ****, what's involved with replacing these? Is it a major undertaking or is it a fairly easy fix? Will I need to remove the rocker boxes and/or gas tank? Where can I hook up with an instructional video or a manual that will take me thru the process.

HD shop manual is the answer on how.

A- yes remove gas tank and rocker boxes, pull out push rods and install new covers, reinstall
B- do not remove anything, cut push rods with bolt cutters, install new covers with a new pair of adjustable push rods

I would do option A, but B is a viable solution. Shop manual will explain both to you. A is less money but more time. B is more money less time. Either way you are going to need gaskets and/or O-rings.

I've done them through the top as they say...tank needs to be disconnected, but not removed.

I would do a set of cams while you are opening it up!
