Default starting problems and check engine light

Bike was giving me trouble starting and the check engine light came on. Got the codes and they are P0261, P0263, P1003, P1351, P1354. reset the codes and tried starting again and only got the first 3 codes. Any idea what could be the fix?

You can look up the code meaning. Just do a google search for hd trouble codes.
Looks like you have a injector, ignition coil and open relay problem .

Open rear injector. High front injector. Both primary side ignition coils open and system relay open.

Could be a ground is broken or loose. I would check fuses and grounds first.

Hate to say it but it's possible your ECM is bad if the relay that is open is in the ECM . Also injector and ignition drivers are in the ECM . The only way to fix it is replacement.

Some times it can be reflashed but that is very rare

You could get a thunder max tune ( that replaces the ECM ) if your sure the ECM is at fault.
Let us know when you figure out what is wrong. I for one would like to know. I have a 2013 FXDF

I would say it's the system relay and would be the first thing I check after checking for loose connections.

I believe that is the 4 blade relay and the 5 blade is the starter relay, but check out your manual for sure. Pull them out and check for corrossion, but better to replace to be sure.

Just did a build on my brother's bike and it ran great. It sat at my place for a couple days and then it would not start when he came to get it.

We actually thought the battery was going bad but I could not hear the fuel pump kick on every time and it cranked but eventually didn't want to.

Pulled the relays from my bike and found the problem...one good thing about us having the same model bike.

I am hoping the relay will be your problem...mine acted up and it was my ECM!

What about the tssm antenna under the seat. Mine cracked and caused similar problems. Mine's an 07 though, on mine it was under the seat about 2" by .75" plastic plug in dealio.

I also noticed that sometimes the fuel pump doesn't kick..I checked the battery and it was connected tight..also looked at the relays and the one look like it had a little corrosion..gonna go pick up a new one and see if that fixes the issue

Maybe a no-brainer and not sure if you even have one but disconnect any fuel tuner you may have (PCIII) and make sure that's not it... It happened to me out of nowhere one day and I was stranded... I tried calling Harley for any quick diagnostics I could do and they were no help... I was calling a tow truck when I thought of it and just gave it a shot... As soon as I disconnected the PCIII and just plugged back in the factory lines, fired right up.

I sent the PCIII back to the company and it took about 2 weeks for me to get my new one in the mail, I tried to ask and find out what caused it but they never got back to me. This was on a '13 FXDB.

Do yourself a favor and get them both. This sounds like the problem we had.

Changed the system and starter relay and she was firing right up hopefully that was the fix.
