How are you telling what your oil temps are? I can't really tell if mine works or doesn't because I don't know what my temps are

Truth, I'd have the JES oil temp gauge if I didn't have V&H BSS's on the Wide Glide. I've done everything I can to help reduce oil temperatures: proper tuning, exhaust, Jagg oil cooler, permanent oil filter, tank lift, and venting crankcase gasses to atmosphere. Would be nice to know what the oil temperatures are but with the BSS's there's not much in the way of any options...

I understand Cvaria is not happy with it.
For me personally, I love the HD digital oil temp AND oil level dipstick.
Got it as a Christmas present, been dead on accurate and working properly.
I think the price is great too..

Interestingly, before the HD digital one, last summer I bought the JES oil filled, I was not happy with it, oil leaked in the first week or two, sent it back, its not cheap and I expected more from it.
It is a nice looking piece but if you get it, skip the oil filled one, I know I am not alone. Also, to check the oil level with the JES is a bit of a pain, for me anyway. I am a fan of analog gauges but the one I got was lacking for sure. Even to check the oil, it was very hard to see the oil level marks, they were so faint. To me, it felt more like an addon, again, for me, the HD feels like it belongs there.

One thing for sure, if you put an oil cooler on, its working for sure. If you dont buy a gauge, you could buy a digital meat thermometer, of course you would only be able to check the temp once you pull the dipstick when stopped.
