I went back to my local HD dealer Friday afternoon to talk to the salesman about the new leftover 2014 Silver and Black LR that they had. The bike has no options other than the paint upgrade. The salesman quoted me these numbers: $13729 plus $390 freight plus $99 for prep and $134 for plate, which comes to $14352 plus $897 for sales tax, which totals $15249 OTD. The salesman quoted me a figure of $15443.85 OTD. Not sure how he got this figure. I added up the figures he quoted me and cannot account for the difference.
Anyways, anyone got a take on this offer? It does not strike me as anything really great. I know others have posted getting a basic black one for $12400-500 plus the freight, prep and sales tax.
Got mine in NH last June for $14,200 OTD, no sales tax in NH. Based on my limited experience I would say that number is high.
Ok all up to date and realize that you have already made the purchase which makes my last post somewhat pointless. Congratulations Ike!
The initial price they quoted me was high and I passed on it. I got a 2015 black one for $14700 OTD. Of that price a good $850-75 is sales tax. So, I landed mine for $13800 or so OTD with all the dealer prep, freight and other inventive fees thrown in.
The dealership had quoted me $500 labor to install all my Stage 1 parts. I got them to agree to do it for $300. $15000 OTD with all my Stage one parts installed.
