Tony - They are close, I usually rest my boot on top of them anyways. Also I have them set at the low position, putting them the notch higher would probably give ya more heel room.
Good to know. My '07 FXD is nearing 60k and will eventually need to be replaced. I ain't getting any younger, so another Dyna will most likely be my choice. I love my highway pegs, so I wanted to be sure I could still add a set on the Low Rider.
I really like having the extra pegs also. They are set on the lower notch so my legs rest at a more comfortable/lower angle (for me). Have a minor touch of arthritis in the legs and these really help. Just gotta remember not to use the shift peg as a heel rest!
That's all u need unless you want to lock it on, if u wanna lock it up u need a locking clamp
Thanks for the confirmation. I thought about getting the locking clamps but my bike is garaged. When I ride it to work, the bike will be covered and in a very secure parking lot.
One topic that has not been previously raised is what kind of cover are you using?
I bought a Titan 5 cover from Empire Covers. I will keep it at work so that I can cover it while it sits in the parking lot. At home, the bike will be in the garage.
