Running the recommended pressure. 40 in the rear and 30 in the front. Not sure how I am doing it but I am.

Just picked my bike up from the dealer. New tires, wheel bearings, brake fluid flush, 30K service, and new A/C and catch can. Dealer did a nice wash and detailing.

I run 40 rear, 36 front, but do a lot of mountain riding which of course includes a lot of shifting, acceleration, deceleration, etc. which is rough on tires...Only got about 6,000 out of my last rear tire, which I'm getting ready to change...

I've gotten 12-15K out of American Elites, they have a longer lasting compound on the center for the long miles, and the sides are softer for grip.

I think the best mileage I got was out of my last michelin commander rear, but it was wasted at around 7k miles...

I am running the same tires the bike came with. Now on my third set of tires. Should be good until I hit at least 40K.

Got a follow-up call from the service department wanting to know how everything is going. Never got such a call before. Is this something new? Call customer a few days after work was done on their bike?

Up to the service advisor, a good advisor reaches out to their customers a few days later to touch base, remind them of the survey and ask how things are. Leaves the impression they aren't only there to take your money. Its building a relationship.

I think some of it has to do with the quality of the roads. Certain surfaces will chew up tires, as I find in North Georgia....

For sure. I try to avoid bad roads and I am always scanning for pot holes and bumps. Bad road are a tire sellers best friend. That and debris that damages tires.
