Just got back from the dealership. My bike is arriving Thurs. I confirmed the terms of the deal with the sales manager just to make sure the numbers were what agreed to back on 4-16-15.
Is it normal to have to wait what will be 3 weeks to get a bike from HD?
It's not really a matter of normal. You previously said that this bike was one that the dealer had on order. When dealers do their ordering (usually bi-annually or quarterly), they schedule the months that they want the bikes delivered to the dealership. This allows HD to create a manufacturing schedule and forecasts.
Unfortunately for you, HD can't just modify that schedule because the dealer has the bike sold. They keep to the schedule and the dealer gets the bike when they asked to have it delivered when they ordered it.
That being said, the dealer could certainly do a dealer trade to get one. And they probably would have if you paid retail. Since you are getting a pretty good deal, the dealer probably just wants to sell from their stock.

Thanks for the insight. I am really anxious to get out and start riding. This is prime riding weather right now in IL.
Yes, I have read that thread before too. It sounds like us Low Rider guys would have to relocate the headlight to the lower mounting position like it is on the Street Bob. Is this correct?
Actually no, you don't have to relocate. Of course you could remove the eyebrow and flip to a bottom mount, however if you are not too fussed about the headlight sitting maybe 3 - 4 mm lower than ideal you will find it works without modification. You could of course use a dremel and modify the holes in the brackets, but I haven't bothered as the fit is acceptable to me.
Check back to look at some photos of my Low Rider with this 1/4 fairing as described.

I have my HD 1/4 mounted with bungking brackets to the stock eyebrow/top mount headlight setup. It works fine. ..adjustability is limited abit but it works.

Is that La Pera Bare Bones an exact fit or did you need to modify anything? seat looks great. I have the battery and electric box bags and its now a bit wider on mine legs so Im not as flat footed. Im thinking the Bare Bones might help lower it and offest the bags.

I paid $158 should get this week. I have those throw over bags. Where did you tie the bottom cord too? Did to tie them together (if you have both sides), to a part of bike or just letting them hang?
