Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long for a bike Ike. I went shopping around to 3 different dealers here in Iowa and they all had them in stock . Your going to like it !
Got the seat...one other question...under the stock seat there are 4 cushions that look glued on. How did you remove them? Can you ever put them back on? Do you even need them if you want to switch to stock seat now and then?
I would say you were lucky your 9 previous times. The previous 3 new bikes I bought all had a wait, ranging from 1-3 weeks. My LR happened to be on the showroom floor, exactly as I wanted it, so that rode home. However waiting for a specific bike isn't unusual at all. Don't complain about it. You wanted a specific bike, and a specific deal, and you got it. A wait is part of the game. You said yourself you could have road home from a couple other dealers, but the deal wasn't right. You could have paid a few dollars more and had a bike a couple weeks sooner. Nothing wrong with waiting for one.
Don't worry, your bike will arrive and you'll be in "hog heaven" soon enough! (I know, not soon enough!)
I would agree that I was lucky with my prior bikes. Guess I just got use to it being that way.
Waiting is part of the game and it was actually a little helpful as I needed time for all my parts to arrive. Just got the Super Brace yesterday. Still waiting on the fairing.
Although I am 49, I feel like a young kid at Christmas time who is about to pee his pants he is so excited about all the presents.

I peeled them off the fender and were the stock seat hit them. ...stuck them there on the stock seat. When I run my stock seat or sundowner I put electrical tape on the fender where there's contact.peels right off when I go back to solo.
Spoke to sales manager Wed afternoon. My bike is coming Thurs. I am taking Fri off so I can go to the dealer as soon as they open on Fri to complete the transaction and give them the parts I purchased for them to install. Hoping they can get the Stage 1 parts and the Superbrace installed sooner rather than later.
Got a call from my salesman about an hour ago. My bike has arrived and they are prepping the bike. He asked me to bring in my parts, which I will be doing after work today. Looks like they can get the parts on Fri or perhaps Sat. Will take some pics today and post later tonight.

Very much looking forward to the first ride.
You could also pick it up stock later today, ride it for the first 1000 miles as is, and when you bring it in for the 1k service have them throw on all your stuff. Or at least go for a ride when you go finish the paperwork. I don't think I could not do that....

I thought about that but decided since it was part of my deal for them to put the parts on, might as well get it done right at the outset.
I'm going in first thing Friday morning to finish the paperwork.
