Default primary oil

A heads up.. Owners book says primary oil only in case. Dealer says they run syn. in all holes.
I put syn in the primary and noticed ugly noises from compensator at low rpm loading and shut down. Replaced oil with primary lube and all is back to normal.

HD must be selling a lot of Low Riders. Have not been to a dealer yet that had more than 1 on the floor. Anyone know when HD will release information on the 2015s? I am curious as to what paint options might be.

They usually release next model year stuff fall-ish after the nationwide dealer meeting.

I would never blow off the 1000-mile service. Good techs can find things that will be overlooked unless you are a super wrench. After that, I do all my service except on the front end...

Even if one follows the complete list in the service manual?

Yeah Mod. Other things can show up, connections, electronic bugs lots of things after a bike gets a shake down. I trust the techs at Sac Harley to find them on the 1K...

True, but most will do the bare minimum to say the service was performed. Chances of finding that kind of tech at a dealer are pretty low. They're not out to do anything extra.

I just bought a 2014 lowrider yesterday and love it so far. Right now it is bone stock. they included the 1000 mile service , at no additional cost, in the bike deal. They didn't volunteer it but when i asked they said no proplem, so it is worth asking, just ask after you get done with number talks

Thanks for the advice on the 1000 mile service, hell hound. I hope to get it included with the bike as well.
