Very nice, pab3rd. What a beauty! What have you done to it so far?
V&H 2-1exhaust, stage 1 filter, black flush mount gas cap and fuel gauge. Digital oil cap, blacked out turn signals, blacked out tail light, lay down plate, solo seat, fender bid, battery bag set, black mirrors, reflectors removed, forward controls, and black bolt caps. Oh and a 50 cal casing shifter peg, plus timing cover, derby cover and horn cover replaced . Fairing and bar changes next on my list
I plan on hitting another Demo Day event this weekend and drive the Low Rider again. I was a lot more impressed with the bike than I thought I would have been. I was happy to be able to firmly touch both feet on the ground. Good, strong acceleration.
I bought a new Low rider a couple of weeks ago and it fixed all of the problems that I had with my 2008 Low Rider. My 2008 vibrated so bad that there was no speed that I could actually see anything out of the mirrors, the bike stopped so bad that it was dangerous and at idle the engine sounded like it was coming apart. My new 2014 LR is smooth, it stops like a motorcycle should, the engine makes almost no mechanical noise and after I put a set of 1/2 inch longer PS shocks on and it handles great. The exhaust could be louder but since Iam already loosing my hearing I may just leave it quiet for a while. I would guess that the bike would not do a high 12 second 1/4 mile, maybe low 13s if your are a little guy who really knows how to ride.
I took a Lowrider for a test run yesterday. That was a stupid thing to do because now I want one. Pab3rd, did you try the standard foot position before going to forwards? How do you like the forward controls and how tall are you? Where did you get the battery bag? Thanks.

I have read every review of this bike posted online and none of them listed a 1/4-mile time. I tried searching online and found nothing.
That's not what they're made for.....
The Low Rider should be good for a high 12 second 1/4, right?

I tried the mids that came on the bike. But at 65, I have osteoarthritis in my hips. Hip pain made the mids uncomfortable after riding some distance. Made the switch to forwards and no hip problems since. I am 5'9". The battery bag is a set and came from BAD&G
