BTW I darn near got wiped out by a tractor trailer today in town on the highway. He suddenly changed lanes as I started to go by him. I picked up on it right away and moved over onto the shoulder. I had to come onto the brakes hard and chirped the back tire a tad. We were going down a hill and approaching a guardrail. The last thing I wanted was to still be on the shoulder when we got to the guardrail which sits about 2' from the line on the edge of the lane. I managed to tuck in behind him just before we got to it. Once we got down the hill and he went back in the right lane I pulled up and showed him what I thought of his driving.

Scary!
Glad to see you already had a strategy to deploy if needed..(which, it was.)

Glad to hear you are okay. I hate a-hole truck drivers. Want to see a video of a drunk truck driver plowing right into a guy on a motorcycle stopped at an intersection? Go over to the Off Topic section. I posted an unbelievable video of a drunk semi-truck driver blowing an intersection and plowing into a stopped motorcyclist.
Finally able to ride to work Tues and Wed. Will be at 2700 miles by the end of the day. I have never racked up this kind of mileage in the past. It took me 5 years to get to 13500 on one of my previous bikes. Took me 3 years to get that kind of mileage on my last bike (2011 GSXR 600). At my current rate, I will be hitting 13000 miles in 2 years or less.
Anyway to get a close-up on your battery box? And some comments on what you did to mod it. I so want some inspiration! Thanks.
Peej
Simple mod was chuck the naff battery box and replace with Harley chrome battery cover p/n 66375-06 and attach battery cover band chrome "Harley Davidson" script p/n 66443-06; that's what I did!!
For inspiration other options with the cover band are; ribbed chrome band p/n 66439-07 or skull chrome band p/n 66442-06
p/n 66375-06 fits '06 later Dyna models, '14 later models require cover band as above.
well i spent my weekend installing some goodies, sundowner seat to make the wife happy, SE nightstick slip on, the HD moustache crash bar, SE air filter, the only thing is i can't decide if i should get rid of my vied-10, for a V&H FP3, any input from anyone if it would be worth it?

Well done. How about getting the Power Vision 2 instead of the FP3?

not really sure on that one, just seams that the concensus is most people have the fp3 and are very happy with it. do you have the pv2 and you must be happy with it if so, right
