I'm at 8000 miles, I've had the bike for 15 months. The dealer said it's ready...all they did was put in a battery under warranty and call it a day. Something's not right with the charging system IMO, but I'm no mechanic.
I hope it doesn't leave me stranded out in the boondocks...
Oh well, at least I got in a nice 110 mile ride this morning on my Honda.
My bike is currently in the shop as well. They just told me that the bike has a bad ignition. Bike would cut out randomly then work normally. Hopefully they can sort your bike out

Harley batteries are the worst ever. My last bike went thru 3 of them in only a few weeks before I got one that worked properly. Chances are, you are good now (provided they put a good one in).
Picked up the bike, the service writer/supervisor confirmed they put in a new battery...he had the bike out in the front, engine running and handed me the key and fob. I thought it a bit strange there was no copy of the paperwork and no signature required by me...just handed me the key/fob and said it's good to go.
Turned it off when getting home to open the garage and the bike started fine w/no drama...I dunno, maybe it really is fixed with a new battery.
Sometimes things can be simple. Lets hope this is the case. Be sure to let us know hot it works out.

Mine has had the ignition replaced 3 times keeps failing. I spent 2 months with customer care filing a lemon law claim only to find out yesterday they had never started the claim and wouldn't start one for me I had to contact a lawyer. My bike has spent 28 days in for repairs and has had to be dropped off twice at the dealer for a harley engineer to come look at it. They told me it is fine but since I replaced my exhaust I'm taking the risk on any and all issues my bike has.

Damn, that sucks. I hope you get this resolved in your favor.
I don't have your patience, if my bike had that many problems I would have traded it in on a different bike, but NOT a HD.

Thanks I've been trying to be patient. I'm trying to go the lemon law route to recoup as much money as possible considering this whole fall I haven't been able to ride or when I have I haven't left town for fear of it breaking down soon. Up until yesterday I wanted to just trade out for another HD but after they gave me that bs about my exhaust and telling me they haven't even started a claim and wouldn't I just want out of this bike. My whole family and friends ride harley but they have just really rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe another manufacture takes care of their customers better
showdown: its a big company thing / bad dealer. about 4 years ago i just the hd ship and got a ducati monster their service and dealers turnd out to be even far worse then HD! did you try a different dealer? i know in my area in a 50 mi radius i got prolly 4 dealers but only go to the 1 anymore
