Having owned four baggers...........two Electra Glides, a Road King, and lastly, a Street Glide, I now own a Low Rider. I've owned three dynas, and I just keep coming back to them. The 2011 Super Glide Custom I owned is my all time favorite bike, wish I'd kept it.
The baggers I owned got very boring to ride, and instead of enjoying being on a motorcycle, they just felt like a "tool" to use to haul things. Just like a car, really. They're extremely awkward and heavy compared to a dyna, and unless I was going to the store, or on a trip, I found myself just leaving the bike in the garage. Traded my Street Glide back in for my Low Rider, and put the "fun" back into riding. Everyone that says "you'll eventually end up on a bagger", or that "once you ride a bagger you'll never go back", are wrong, at least in my case. I pay cash for my bikes, can afford ANY bike I want, and I got RID of my baggers for a dyna!
You may ride one and love it, but if you're like me, after awhile, you'll find that baggers are nothing more than a two wheeled mini-van, and you'll be back on a dyna. If I need a windshield, a radio, CD player, GPS system, heated grips, cruise control, bags, trunk, etc., I'll just take the car.
For me...being a Multi HD Rdr provides a solution to "What kind of riding am I doing today?"
Taking Fri off of work. Three nice days for riding and a Demo Day event to hit. Going to be a great weekend. I plan on trying a 2016 LR, LR S, and a Roadster. Hope to get in several rides on the LR S. May even try a Road King even though I will never be getting a bagger.
Lets all hope and pray that HD offers a CVO LR for either 2017 or 18 that has the 117. Would be real sweet if the ignition was tanked mounted and came with a locking gas cap.[/QUOTE]
Having had a bike stolen, I would prefer an exploding gas cap.

You would think with the advancement in technology, manufacturers could come up with an ingenious anti-theft device like an internal engine lock or key fob electro shock security. So far I've yet to see the lack of ignition and blinking lights stop a determined thief from stealing a buddy's bike.

I really doubt I would get a bagger. The idea of an 800+ pound motorcycle just does not appeal to me. If I were touring across the USA with my wife as part of a riding club or group, then sure, a bagger or Gold Wing is what I would have.
I doubt I have ever ridden more than 200 miles in a day. I love commuting on a motorcycle and running weekend errands. I will test a Road King just to be able to say I rode a bagger.
I really love the LR. Has everything you need and suits those of us coming off sportbikes very well.
Yeah, this went viral. I think the guy is an idiot. YOu want to ride like that, go to a track. The only thing I'll say is that I do wish I had the ***** and skills to be able to ride like that.... At a track though. Idiotic on real roads.
