Anyone have any idea how much longer before HD has the 2017 models up on its webpage? I know it has got to be pretty close. Hoping to see some color choices for the LR S.
Finally. After two weeks with being able to ride only one day each week, Sunday starts a three day run of nice weather in the 70s. I have never been so eager to ride as I have been with my LR.
Hi folks, first post for me on the forum!
I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a used Low Rider here in the UK. I'm sure I'll have many questions, but I just wanted to check somthing regarding ABS.
Most of the LRs advertised on EBay and dealer websites don't state whether they are equipped with ABS or not. Can you tell by looking at the photos, eg if there's the sensor cable on the left hand side front brake it means it's got ABS? Cheers!

Good to hear from you. You are making an excellent choice getting the LR. What year is the LR you are looking at?
As for your question regarding ABS, I got my LR without it. I would think a seller who paid for a LR with ABS would surely point it out in their ad.
The ABS module is covered by a piece of matte black plastic in the shape of a simple trapezoid. It's location should be on the RH side, just below the battery box. If it's got the plastic piece, then it's got ABS!

Edit- Welcome to the site!
Thanks for clearing that up!
It's surprising how many dealers fail to mention it in their ads (eg the link I posted)

I thought I had heard something about all European Low Riders having ABS.
I think you're right - now that I know what to look for, I can't find a single 2014> for sale on Ebay UK without the 'black box' (but none of the ads mention ABS!)
I've had to rely on US websites/road tests to research the LR as it's as though it doesn't exist in the UK.
It hasn't been tested by any of the 'mainstream' UK magazines. The current issue of 'What Bike' magazine for example, which supposedly lists ALL bikes available in the UK, even misses the LR out in the Harley section!
Because all the reviews I've read are from the US, which always state 'optional' ABS, I've assumed that it was the same in the UK.
