That never even crossed my mind. Thanks for bringing it up.

Glad to hear it was something simple to fix.

Has anyone removed the LOW RIDER emblem/badge from the battery cover?

Covered it with a battery bag; problem solved.

Did just that today. I used a hot air gun (you can use a hair dryer) to heat up the Low Rider badge. Then I ran a piece of wire between the emblem and cover in a sawing motion. I had to do a little and then reheat with the hot air gun. Came right off in about 5 minutes. Then goo gone, or a similar product, is your best friend to get all the glue reside off. My emblem came off unscathed as did the battery cover.

I have. They used good glue as I had to fight the residue with acetone. Put a BadandG bag over it. Works great for a tool kit.

A heat gun goes a long way in helping remove it.

Plenty of LR owners have removed the emblam or covered it with a bag. It does not bother me so I left it alone. I am a minimalist when it comes to customizing one's bike. I did only 4 upgrades:

PV2 Tuner
DK Customs 587 AC
V&H Big Shots
Superbrace front fork brace

I did and marred up the finish of the battery cover slightly. HD uses some really good glue. I used a heat gun to heat it up for about a minute or two and was barely able to get the corners up to pry it off. Took me about 30 minutes to get it off. Heat, try to pry it off, reheat, pry, etc. I should have used a wire like Jake911 said. The marring is bugging me and will probably get a new battery cover.

Looking forward to a return to good riding weather this weekend and early next week. It stinks going 4-5 days in between riding sessions. Should be at 11000 miles by the end of the month. New tires likely by the end of the year.
