I really like the fuel moto E series, however the pipe will be too close to my saddlebags, so am thinking of going with the super trapp super meg, like the idea of being able to adjust the sound by adding/removing discs.

Had one on my old wide glide, no complaints.

First chance in 3 days to get out and ride. Took the day off, polished the LR a bit, and got a little riding in. Just about at 12000 miles in a little less than 15 months.

Four straight days of riding. Soon to be 5 straight days tomorrow. 12100 miles and my bike runs great. Come November, I should be at 13000 miles. Tires still look good. I hope to get new ones next year. Hoping to do both 15K service and new tires next year.

Who else will be facing a winter without being able to ride their LRs?

Any new end of the year LR owners ou there? I will spend the winter debating on whether to keep my current bike or get a LR S in the spring. Only thing really holding me from doing so is that the only color available is black. Knowing my luck, I would get a LR S in the spring only to find out that colors other than black will be offered on the 2018.

Ike, figure in anothe $1 - 2k into your LRs budget and get it painted the color you want.

Yes, I could do that but my hang up is that is a lot of money to paint a gas tank and the front and rear fenders. Painting that tiny amount of metal should be way less than 1-2K.

Also, HD factory paint is real nice and I doubt I could bring myself to shelling out (wasting) the kind of money it would cost to re-paint the bike the color of my dreams. Unlike a car, motorcycle paint is really only covering a tank and two fenders.

The money shelled out for a re-paint would be better spent on a nice full exhaust and PV2.

If I were going to repaint my bike, I'd buy another set of tins. This way I can return the bike to stock if I want to sell the bike. Your piece of art could be someone else's nightmare. I've seen some "custom" pieces an thought "WTF were they thinking?".

I can't agree with that more.

Good idea. I wonder if it is possible to buy a red tank and fenders for a LR and then put them on the LR S. If so, wonder how much that would run.

I bought a 2015 LR in May 2015 only to find out a few months later that the 2016 would be coming with the 103 HO. Would hate to get a LR S and then go through all the expense of getting it painted in the color I wanted or buying the tank and fenders only to find out the 2018 LR S will be coming in 5 different cool colors.
