Been riding the commute clocking miles. Then the city repaved sections of the roadway. Ok, really needed it but then they put down ribbon snakes. I hate ribbon snakes!!! You know, that asphalt tar to seal the cracks. Let me tell, when new applied they're a major pain.
Ribbon or "Tar" snakes are a big problem here in North Georgia and not only when they're first put down. They should be illegal as it's hot as hell here in summer and those snakes are slippery as goose ****...it's like riding on oil. More than one bike has gone down because of them, I can tell you...

Could not agree more. Tar snakes are no joke and pose a real danger to those of us on two wheels.

I went down at low speed due to a wide swath of ribbon snake in a driveway, and dislocated a shoulder. I traded that bike in on the '14.
threw some new bars and hand guards on today...was time to go chrome...i also love the traditional t-bar look...
They're Valholl TBars and Destroyer handguards. Quality is great. The Lucky Dave's were nice, very comfortable but just wanted something different...the handguards are the reinforced ones as well...hopefully I won't need to test them on some mirrors...lol. With the riser extensions they sit right at 14".

JoshFXDL, always loved sportbikes but my problem with them is Ill use the power if it's there. I had a 2005 FZ6 (98hp) and the 1st night I rode it home my wife followed me.. Lets just say my wife smacked me in the back of my head and said there's no way I'm keeping it.. Nice bikes, by the way.
