I believe in 2016 the ignition switch went away. Mine is a 2017 and there is nothing in that spot. It seems the factory put a jumper in to get the wiring to reach the down tubes, all connectorized so this part will be easy. I ordered parts for a FXDB to relocate the horn to between the jugs. The bracket for the top engine stabilizer has to change, this will be the most difficult part to swap. I am hoping I can swap this bracket and not have to mess with engine alignment.
I think you are right there, the later ones had the proximity keyfobe. wish it was compatible for my 14.

It can be. You can delete your ignition switch altogether and purchase security module which includes BCM and 2 proximity fobs. All you have to do at that point is swap the BCM included with the security kit, and get the fobs programmed. You can have the bike programmed to turn "ON" with the run switch

how do you go about using your accessories position when you eliminate the ignition switch?
I guess theoretically you give that up, not sure what the useful purpose of it is anyways to be honest lol. When i hit run switch all power comes on and fuel pump primes. Switching run switch off turns off all power. Works the same way all the newer softail bikes without ignition switches work.
So, here in UK we're allowed out for recreation on our bikes again; been so busy with work I only managed 30 miles today, but a great feeling nonetheless. But I would value any advice you may have about an issue that's been developing for a while. The bike goes, handles and stops fine, but...
... when coming to a halt, and only if I'm gently using the front brake, there is often a slight juddering through the bars, just before I come to a complete stop; there even seems to be a very slight metallic sound that goes with it, but it's all so brief that it's hard to identify what's going on. As far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with the head bearing, but as I don't have any way of jacking up the front wheel it's hard to tell. I've checked the fender, brake system, handlebars, and engine mount, and nothing seems to be loose. The only thing that's caught my attention is that, when I push down hard on the forks at a standstill, I think there's a slight notchiness at one point, but I can't be sure if that's related.
Any ideas?

Could be abnormal pad wear and/or warped front rotors. Those would be the items I checked/replaced first.
On a side note me and the wife got out for about a 4 hour ride yesterday, stopped by a dealer to pick up some oil and check out the bikes. They had several livewires there, nice bike but not for me. Sales must be getting desperate they kept coming up and talking to us. Salesman even mentioned to my wife if she "let" me trade my low rider in on a new bike he would give her a $500 shopping spree in the store. I told him my low rider isn't going anywhere and 500 bucks isn't getting a bike sale even if I was in the market. No prices marked on their bikes there either, I even found a 14 street bob that I thought my buddy would like and I looked online, they wanted $13,500 for a 6 year old bike with 20k miles. That bike MSRP'd for that. Dealers are out of their mind
