Great looking LR. Love that Whiskey Orange and Black paint scheme.

Not sure how a tuner would work on top of the HD download?

I am not looking for every last bit of power. My 2005 FXDI had a five speed and 88 CI motor and was a fine cruiser.

My Two touring bikes had the 96 CI, One was Stage1 and one was stock and were fine even on the heavier touring frames so I think I will be more than pleased with Stage 1 103 CI.
I had an '06 LR...88TC, Stage I, V&H Big Shots Staggered with a 6-speed. I really enjoyed that bike, but the 103TC with a stage I tune is a very different bike. The power to weight ratio is so much better that there is no comparison. The bike has tons of HP & TQ, yet I'm getting 6 -10 MPG better than did with the 2006! I used to get about 36 MPG was the '06, and now I get 43 - 46 MPG!!!

Your post is really making me hope my deal works out.

My last bike was a 2009 RKC 96CI completely stock. Bike was nice but pretty boring. I have always liked small fast cars and I am looking forward to getting back into a Dyna.

I called the dealer (non HD) and asked him to send me the paperwork. As soon as I hear from the HD Dealer doing the inspection I will be cutting a cert check and sending back the paperwork. If all goes well hope to have the bike in NY late July early August.

Hoping it all works out for you. I have had my LR for 5 years and have no plans to get rid of it.

I still regret trading my 2005 FXDI. I am 62 YO so the LR will probably be my last bike especially since the new Dyna's really rebadged Softails.

I've ridden two HD's with the counterbalanced motors and didn't like them. I love how the rubber mounted motors shake, rattle and roll at idle and then get smooth as glass once up to speed.

I bought my LR when I was 49. Now 54. And my LR will likely be my last bike also. However, I am still tempted to get a Bonneville 750 as a second bike.

Took the FXDL on an 850-mile, three-day ride through four of the northern Sierra passes last weekend with some (socially distanced) friends. Good mix of bikes--a Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, a Triumph Tiger 800, an M8 Softail Street Bob, and an old mid-90s Evo Heritage Softail.

Lee Vining, a tiny town at about 7,000' of elevation up above Mono Lake and close to the Nevada border in the Eastern Sierra, was base camp.

We rode Ebbett's Pass (CA-4) and Monitor Pass (CA-89) and 395 the first day. Day 2, we rode Tioga Pass (CA-120) through Yosemite, down into Yosemite Valley, back to 120 out the western gate of the park, to CA-49 and up and over the incredible Sonora Pass (CA-108). The return trip was Monday so we decided to ride Tioga Pass through Yosemite again and were very glad we did--with the COVID restrictions and it being a Monday morning, the road was empty.

That is what I call a real nice ride, DMo. Wish I was getting in those kind of miles. I was able to ride once last week and may be able to get a ride in this weak. Some real hot weather in Northern IL right now.

I did 175 miles on the LR on Saturday, but the wind buffeting on the highway was a bit much. Glad I have the Bagger for rides like that!
