I'm going to try and find the time to head to the mountains tomorrow, supposed to be mid 70s and leaves are changing quickly, if I wait any longer the colors will die out

Hope you are able to make it. I got rain for the next number of days. I am off next Tues. If the weather is right I will be riding most of the day.

That is how things often work out for me as well. Good riding weather but stuck at work.

I stumbled across a thread that relates deceleration rattle to a worn out front motor isolator. Then I found the part about measuring the gap between the mount and the isolator. Mine's about half what it should be. So I decided to have the front isolator replaced to see if that cures the juddering sensation under low speed braking. My dealer said the isolators are on back order and aren't due in until March. So I rang an excellent independent I used when I had a Sportster and he can get and fit an aftermarket front isolator next Wednesday; so I've booked it in with him. I reckon it can only improve things and hopefully it will solve the juddering.
