hi temp powder coating is another option.....looks good and holds up well
it's my understanding that no one produces that stuff anymore. they stopped once ceramic coating got popular.
nice work, i actually saw a guy this weekend with the exact same setup. as a note, you might wanna pull the sheilds and hit the crossover with a little paint. the black makes it really show through where as w/ the chrome you didn't notice it much. i just hung some towels between the pipes and the bike and gave it a real quick hit.
just re-did mine a few weeks ago for the season, cost me 8 bucks.

Noticed it when I was putting the sheilds back on. Next time I have them off phor a touch up I will probably hit the crossover real quick.
Looking at your bike over & over made me keep this one in my mind. But i didn't do it until I had an idea that was just a bit different.
Nicely Done Phreak- Im considering doing My heat Shields this week-end.I got a Night train AC cover and Its on but no pic yet. Did you ever do your mirrors? If you did lets see the Pics.
I did wind up painting the mirrors a couple weeks ago. It's holding up pretty well, except phor the ball and socket where the mirrors move phor adjustment. But I knew that woulddn't last, I just had to minimize it the best I could.
Got even crappier pix of them. Still need a replacement cable phor our camera.
