The Arlen Ness Fly Bars look pretty close to what I am needing but would have to change out the triple tree top for that. I also considered some Wild 1 bars, but the wrist angle looks like it may be too much if pulled back where she needs it.
I was sitting here with a set of mini apes in my lap that were on my 05 FXD trying to visualize what you are doing. What I just took off my bike looks like what you are talking about. I put Harley's 6" pull back risers and used the stock drag bar that came on my Fat Bob. The bar looks very similar to the mar part of the Fly Bars and you wouldn't have to change the tree. The bar pull back is 7" and the riser pull back is 1.5" not quite the same as the Fly Bar but and improvement over the mini's
Question about the Mini Apes: when you rotate them closer to her does it help any to rotate your switch housings and levers to?
Bars can be a pain in the *** to us short peoples on Dynas.

Look at klockwerks kliphangers.

You can achieve any wrist angle you desire.

Do yourself a favor. Change the top tree with older street bob top tree. Or change the triple trees all together. It opens up any options for any bar setup. I was glad I changed mine, and what a difference in ride comfort. If you can at least find an 06, 07, etc. top tree somewhere, you might be happier. Good luck with your decision.

could you keep her bars and use pull back risers? may force the bars up a little more. just thinking if you could leave the bars at the tilt her wrists are comfortable at and achieve the pull back needed through risers. depending on if you could find risers or not.....

just a thought that jumped into my head as i was reading

Have a look at some FLHT bars. They're butt ugly, but very comfortable on my fxdc. A bit lower than the apes but at with a different wrist angle..

Guys thanks for all the responses and suggestions. I am going to bite the bullet and change the top tree clamp as Jeffrob07 suggested, it just opens up so many options. Will have to wait until next weekend to get the wife to a shop to have her try some bars as she has to work. Work seems to always be getting in the way of riding and messing with the bikes but I haven't figured out a way to support my habit without it.
Thanks again.

I want to follow this. I have the same short arm problem. I want apes though. I've been looking at bars for a year now without find the ideal ones.
