Amazing step by step. Whenever I do mods (as lame as they may be) I always debate stopping and taking pics, then say "F it I'm too oily or lazy". You're ***** deep and showing every detail. Awesome thread!
I got in the habit of taking lots of pictures when I built my West Coast Chopper just to document it and also for reference.
I don't know how many times I have looked back at something just to see what I had done or how things were taken apart.
Also it is frustrating seeing/reading threads on a form that are not complete or have no pictures for reference.
How was the clearance of the cam lobes in the cam case? Cases before 2003 many times needed clearance when the lift was much over 0.550 but it depends on the cam base circle.
There was no clearance issues with the cam itself.
I did need to make a little clearance for the outside rear cam gear on the cam cover but it was minimal.
Next up was the rocker arms and pushrods. I went with S&S roller rockers that probably were not needed with this cam but didn't think it would hurt. Also put in new rocker shafts as well. Pushrods are S&S quickys.
The rocker arms were hiting the top of the top rocker box cover so so removal of some material was needed in the rib area of the top cover.
