Default Battery keeps going dead

I have an 02 superglide that I put a shark audio 600w amp with rockford 100w speakers on. I have it wired so it's only on if the ignitions on. Battery kept going dead so I bought a new one. Road it around yesterday with the radio playing, went to fire it up this morning and it was dead again. Is the radio too much of a load for the stator to keep up? Can I upgrade it to one that will match the draw?

Maybe the extra draw on the elec. system messed with the charging part of the system. I'd get it started and put a volt meter on the batt. to see if it was being charged properly. Should read 14.5 volts (I think) if everything is OK. If not I'd start with the alternator and voltage regulator
If you don't play the audio does it start the next day?

I forgot to say I have a HID headlight as well. I haven't tried without running the audio since I got it but it makes sense

The standard amp charging rate is 32A at 3600 rpm, figure out how much power you are drawing off the battery and this could be your answer. May have to upgrade to a larger output alternator.

Alright so I took off my radio, I tested the stator (before it went to the regulator) It's getting like 20 or so volts at idle 26 with some gas, and (while running) I tested the spot at the circut breaker where the regulator goes and it's at 12.3 volts, battery reads the same. Is that low? Is the regulator shot?

Charge rate at idle should be around 13.1-13.3V, above 2200rpm it's around 14.2V. A fully charged (100%) battery is 12.8V. A complete charging system check is in order.

Subbing for interest. (My stator might be bad as well, on the same year/model)

Replaced the regulator, had the harley tech check the stator and it's working fine. The last thing it could be is the battery I guess (it's only a month old), gonna have it checked/replaced tomorrow and see what happens

did everything work out with the shark system? You may need a new power wire
