The bike? Every day.

Me? Once per month. (you can smell a real biker before you see one)

I use the two booth rule. If no one will sit closer than three booths away in the diner, I'll consider soap and water.

Oh, we were talking about bikes? Nevermind.

I understand the denim paint guys taking a minimalist approach, but I try to keep my rides as clean/shiny as reasonably possible. I usually have to wash my truck once a week, so it's not big deal to rinse off the bike while I'm at it. For the most part I can get by with quick detailer, but sometimes the bug guts are too much for that.

I wash it a lot. I keep it under a cover in the driveway so it gets pretty dusty. I usually just try to ride the dirt off but it doesn't really work that way.

Question, if having a clean Harley is good why isn't "riding dirty" good?
Somewhere I heard riding dirty meant something good.

I give it the full wash, wax & detail roughly 3x per year... but that wasn't a voting option.

In between, I just use a mist & wipe detail spray (Pig Snot, Maguiar's or Turtle Wax Ice) with a micro-fiber cloth. And on the windshield only, I use Lemon Pledge.

I try to take a bath around clotheswashin' time, need it or not.
Clotheswashin' time is usually sometime in May.
