Need a new 2004 FXDL wheel
Ok here is the question, a buddy of mine needs a new rear hoop for his '04 low rider. Every time I end up behind him It looks like it could "taco" at any moment. He has looked, and searched everywhere we can think of to find a used one but no luck. I did find a inexpensive new one on eBay that fits 2000 to 2005 dynas but I want to be sure that it fits the DL before he orders it. It's a 16x3.5 rim with a 3/4 axle and ball bearing seals. Does anyone know if that's right or not? Thanks you in advance.

Is the problem with the rim itself or the bearings... or the spokes?? You're not really clear on that. If it's just the 'hoop' then any 40 spoke 16x3 drop center rim will fit... just needs to be re-laced to the hub. You can do it yourself... instructions are pretty clear in the FSM or any bike shop will do it for a nominal fee.

I've got a 2008 rear spoke for sale. 75 bucks plus shipping. I think he would have to buy the 3/4 wheel installation kit from harley though and put a new inner spacer and 3/4 bearings inside it. It has 25mm bearings right now.
if it would help I can pull the 25mm bearings out..
