I love it someone has the ***** to be different~ Awesome bike. If you were to ride up on one of the (real) biker "get togethers" around here with that thing....my guess is you would be the life of the party!
very nice. I would have a hard time doing it to a new bike though....I guess its the "cheap" coming out in me again. Maybe in a couple of years if I still have it. But as long as the parts are not scratched and still shiny, I can't do it.
It definately is bad *** though.
Nicest looking bob I've seen in this forum. Not crazy about the seat, and I think I would have power coated the tank emblem red as well. Nice job, I like unique.
Thanks for all the great comments. Looking at a different seat, bars and HORN COVER and headlight. I like the idea of flat track bars. Where do you get a look at them? I have been mocking some bars up out of PVC but just can't find a look that also works well. Since I own a bagger and a dirt bike - I find it works better if all my bikes have similar bars. I use pullback drag bars now and they are very comfortable - can ride sitting straight up with my arms bent. I don't want to ride streching forward.
WHY DIDN'T ANYONE COMMENT ABOUT THE MIRRORS...(upside down...)
I got a day off soI think I will relocate the front turn signals so I can lift the front of the tank...And figure what to do about that seat...ONCE AGAIN - THANKS !
I didn't read all the comments but I have to say.....that thing is retty cool.
Have you thought about a Tank Lift?
How do you like the Works shocks? I have been debating between Works and Ohlins. Are they stock leangth? I really want to go 1/2 to 1" longer, so I can actually turn the bike over.
Did you do anything with the front forks? I have been thinking Ohlins front as well. I wash out if I go into a good corner real hard.
That front brake setup is SICK! I would love to do that but go one step further and do a Dual Front like that. I don't use my rear much to be honest, but a upgraded Caliper like yours would not hurt.
How do you like the thunder header? I think I might go with a bassani 2 into 1 soon.
Nice little Ratbob you have there.
Edit- Just noticed your rear tire. Now that is some riding....good show. I would get a set of race tires if I didn't ride in the rain.
#1 I plan to do a tank lift after I move the front signals - some say you can't do a lift on a Bob...
#2 Those are 3/4" longer works shocks - love them. Easy to adj. and made for me...
#3 The forks have Prog. springs and are lowered....
#4 I don't think you can do this dual on spoked wheel (PM says...)-I have spec. order caliper - does nose wheelies now....
#5 Thunder header is OK to about 80 hp then it is too loud - Going to cut off muffler and put on ss Supertrapp muffler...
I got no digital camera else I'd shoot ya a pic of mine. The Sportster XR883 came with emso if ya go by your local HD shop you should be able to find a set or at least see some in a catalog alsoif you do a search for Flanders it should be pretty easy to find.If you get the Flanders just make sure you get the wide pre dimpled for Harley. The extra width will give you excellent leverage.
Not sure of fender fit - It had to go (chop it) - to show commitment -I shaved off fender mounts before powdercoating..
A 140 tire may fit on rim -BUT THEYDON'T MAKE THEM...so it will be tough...I put on a 18" rim to get the wider tire choice...
The fat front was made popular by Exile and a few others -big in Cali. - no front fender and short rear fender is required for that look...
