So I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on my 2005 FXDCI and interested in Ricor... Shocks for the rear and Intiminators for the front. Anyone have any experience with these products... Have my finger on the trigger... just wanted to ensure I make a good choice.
TONS of threads on here about Ricor products... from what I've read and from my research.. (If were keeping my stock front end) I wouldn't hesitate to use their product.. it is an excellent addition to any stock Dyna (or other hydraulic HD) front end.. I've also heard good things about the traxion spring systems out there as well.. in concert these 2 aftermarket units really improve the bikes front end handling characteristics..
Search for Traxxion straight rate springs and Ricor intiminators install..i did the intiminators first then decided to go with the JRI "B" shocks in 13"..couldnt ask for a better ride or handling..

Reason: added info
Put about 10k mi. on a 1200 custom with both Ricor shocks and Intiminators. I was very pleased with the ride. While not "plush," the setup will make the bike hug the road; bumps will feel leveled out. I had 13" shocks, which had approx 4" of travel. The extra travel was fantastic. And, with this setup, I felt comfortable making 90* turns at 30 mph, rather than the 20 mph, before mods.
I run the ricor shocks in back (12.5" sport tune) and the traxion straight rate springs, intimidators, and amzoil fork oil up front. Worth every penny, love it.
There are more choices for the shocks now then there was when I went with the ricors. I think the JRI's can be had for just a bit more cash. I've been 100% happy with my set up and am done with suspension upgrades.
