fxdl seat question.
Hey guys hope that you can help.
So I have a 06 fxdl and the seat is killing me. I was wondering if a solo seat off a 11 street bob would fit ? If not wich years are interchangeable? Or recommendations I need to be back as far as possible.

Check out Mean City Cycle. They can mod your stock seat to how you want.
Extreme Mod - $60
This modification will give you the feeling of sitting in the motorcycle and not on it. It lowers the rider up to 3 1/2 inches and move the rider back in the saddle up to 3 1/2 inches. Plus the seat is shaped for a comfort. We take it down to the extreme for that custom cruiser feel.

- NOTE - some seats cannot be moved back as much as others due to the way the seat pan is designed.

The solo will work, I tired one on mine but it was hard on my back, if you do use the solo you will probably have to get the seat nut and threaded piece that goes in the fender, its only around $5 at HD. I put a sundowner on mine that really helped, but i don't think it will put you any farther back. Good Luck.

Try and get a hold of a pre-2014 Fat Bob seat. I put one on my FXD and it's my favorite. Not the best for passengers though...
