Did the same thing last year...that "plastic" race just seems like a weak design. I had the Baker IPB already and don't think that is the reason the bearing went out.
Can't believe there is no upgrade bearing...on my thread, we were discussing that maybe the tensioner was the one taking the bearing out. When I did the bearing, I went with the Hayden spring loaded tensioner.

Man you don't get a break. .this late in riding season just when you got the bike back together. Count me on the list of people that have had the 'pleasure' of replacing that bearing.
Sadly I think if you own a 6 speed long term you'll have to either a) Pay a shop for work in this area (seals, bearings, etc) or b) Spend $$$ on tools and lots of time reading to fix yourself.
Although having done it once now I imagine it'd be a lot easier the next time.
Baker is working on a replacement MDG bearing. Was supposed to come out in June but it keeps getting pushed back.
some people are on the fence with the hayden primary tensioner unit but i love mine. Totally smoothed out my primary and my chain was so tight when I got the stock tensioner out you could play a fiddle with it. Back in the evo days we all ran hayden units and they were just durable as hell. So far so good with the upgrade for the 2011 Street bob.

Are you running the older Hayden or the newer revised shoe version? Herd the older version was better.
