Default Primo Brute IV

I broke the primary chain on my 2004 wide glide. It destroyed pretty much everything in the primary. Compensating sprockets, stator, rotor, and chain tensioner. Have not looked at the clutch pack yet, but there is metal shavings everywhere from the primary cover and chain. So, my question is this…do I replace all the components, or do I upgrade to the Primo Brute IV extreme? Bike is 102 HP with 103 torque. Considerably more expensive, but maybe a better alternative than the chain. Thoughts?

I've never heard of that chain. What I would want to know is why yours broke? too much mileage, or do you wail on the power every stop light, do alot of burnouts? Was something too tight?

Yes I'm curious as well considering I'm running 191 hp and 165tq....haven't had any problems with my chain...knock on wood

The failure was actually my fault. I was running a 24 tooth compensator sprocket and the chain was too loose. I am going back to a 25 with an M6 tensioner to avoid problems in the future. Although the 24 tooth rocked.
