Hey everyone. Two years ago I bought an 03 sportster and fell in love. Well, I sold it and purchased an 06 dyna street bob this past week. What a great ride. Wish I could have kept the sportster but I couldn't find the money tree in the backyard.
The bike has 3150 miles on her and has been sitting for 3 years. From all the experience out there, will I have any problems with it sitting so long? The right fork seal is leaking and it is
Scheduled to be replaced next week.... I've read about bearing problems in earlier production dynas in that year. How do I go about finding out if this is this
case with my new ride? At the moment it sounds and runs great!

Educate yourself about the two '06 Dyna issues; self-destructing Rotor, and Inner Primary Bearing (both inside Primary case). Lots of threads about the IPB; I'm partial to my own...search for "Finally Good News..." thread title. There should be some limited info on the Rotor issue in my thread, too. Don't wait for a failure to learn about these two issues. Good luck.
Also there is an issue with the Dyna primary auto tensioner pitting to much tension in the chain, and guys are eating through main trans bearings. Another thing to be aware of with 6 speed dyna's
