Need help with install for PASSENGER FOOTPEG MOUNTING KIT
Hey guys new to the forms and bought my third harley my 2014 dyna FXDB i bought a passenger footpeg set and had a question on install. it says in the instructions to loosen the back wheel to remove the guard over the drive belt is this necessary?? i don't really see why the back tire tension matters when removing a safety guard. here are the instructions.
if some one could help me out id appreciate it wanna know why before i start to install i live in a apartment complex so working on my bike is already a pain not easy to lift the bike up etc.
Ok so I can just un-bolt the cover and wedge in the bracket and stuff thams guys!
I did mine without touching the belt tension. I couldnt get my torx down along side the fender with a ratchet to tighten the bolt closest to the fender. I just unbolted my shocks and jacked the bike all the way up so the swingarm dropped giving me the extra room I needed to get a ratchet in there. Also the belt will get much looser when the swingarm drops making it easier to get to as well.
