I'm so stupid.
So I installed my new thunderheaders. And I put zip ties before the flanges to stop them from scratching the black coating. (I know it's junk) but I was trying to keep them scratch free. Well I forgot to remove them before my test ride. And u can guess what happened next. ****.....

dang that sucks on a new pipe as well... look at the bright side few months it will crack and when you pull it off to weld it you can recoat the pipe hahaha just busting ***** man

Wow that's rough man. How good did that hurt. What were u installing?
our shop does pipe repair so we tend to only see the ones that need work... you can get touch up ceramic after you get all that stuff off

Ouch! I had quarter-sized scar on my right wrist for almost 10 years from the Supertrapp on my old Sportster. Was tweaking the idle mixture on the carb & the rear pipe got me good.

Oven cleaner got the melted rain gear off of my buddy's ceramic coated vance and hines. Very minimal marring left behind, you'll never notice up by the heads like that, his was right on the side
