Well the last bike I asked about here, I did not get. Was outbid in the last 2 minutes!!! I have found another one now. This is a 2005 FXDCI in Blk Chry. Has saddlebags with turn signals relocated, engine guard with highway pegs, Stage I with SE exhaust and ???? intake. Clear lenses on front and back blinkers. 4300 miles for $10,600. One problem is shipping to me here in Ohio. They want $975.
Questions:
1) Is this a good deal?
2) Any help with shippers good or bad? Mass. to Ohio.
It may be a good deal. You won't know until you see it and see if there are any hidden issues. No way would I buy it and have it shipped to me. I'd fly and ride.
Yeah...it's a good deal..if the condition is good. Which is hard to tell from an ad. That's a tough call man. If it was local, it wouldn't even be a question....but something like that, involves a trip...cause I wouldn't buy anything without looking at it first...and then I don't think I'd pay that much for shipping either. Like some others said...I'd fly out, and take a nice long ride home.
Good luck
Buy some leathers and ride it out. I used to live in CT (now in Vegas) and that is a beautiful ride!!! Hell bring an ipod if you want something to keep you company. The ride will probably take you 12-15 hours. NY might get a little hairy if you've never been there but who cares it only takes 45 min to get thruough. Good luck, you'll love your dyna. I think everyone you talk to here does.
Thanks for everyone's input. Yes, I feel I need to see the bike personally, but can't take the time off work to do it. I have emailed more questions to them. It has been checked over from the Stealer, at least they say so. I can also get a used bike warranty, but I don't know the cost yet. Do you think it is a good idea on a used bike?
Hopefully soon I will the proud owner of my first Harley!!!
Sounds like a really good deal.
I agree on riding it back, but not sure what licensing/insurance issues you might run into?
MA is a messed up state in this regard (ask me how I know).
Plus - don't you have like a foot of snow in most of Ohio right now?
