Mine took about 8weeks and non of the hardware worked that they sent. Had to buy some bolts and spacers at the local hardware store for the headlight. But it is a great fairing keeps the wind off of your chest on those long runs.

So you can use the HD quick release brackets on the rifle fsiring? I love the way they look, i was just unsure on how they mount up. Also, i see on their site they only have a 15" shield....no 12" shield?
Anyone else have one of these on order? I ordered mine 7 weeks ago, Not one email update or anything, Was paid for with paypal so they got my money 7 weeks ago but I have no fairing, A little customer service or update would be nice. Anyone else experienced long wait times for this fairing? Thanks
When I ordered mine, I called to place the order. The woman I spoke to advised me that there was a 10-week back order. They told me they wouldn't charge my card until they were ready to ship. So while I was waiting I looked intently at all other options. Others had back orders too. I liked the Roadster more than everything else, so I waited. I actually received it sooner than 10 weeks. I haven;t installed it yet because I'm first installing an S&S V111". But I was pleased with their customer service, and the build quality of their fairing is much nicer than I expected. I think I'll be real happy with it. So I think once you receive yours, you'll be glad you made the order with them.

You know, they do have the "Custom Size" option on their web site where you can request any height you want? But it's easy enough to cut you own as well. I've cut many through the years and may end up cutting this one. I just put blue painters tape on both side of the windshield, draw my line on the tape with a Sharpie, then make the cut with a jig saw using a metal blade. After the cut I sand/polish the cut edge with 2000 grit wet/dry and it leaves a perfect edge. To draw a near perfect cut line, I trace the top edge of the windshield onto cardboard, cut that traced pattern, then trace that cardboard edge onto the blue painters tape on the windshield. It takes less than 1/2 to do a real nice job on it.

Yeah, you can use the HD quick release. Several members on here, including myself, have.
No problems with buffering personally. I'm running the 15" shield and it's absolutely perfect for me (I'm 6'3" with a long torso). The 15" shield is perfect with my 12" t-bars as well. And remember you can adjust the pitch on it and play around and get it perfect for you. It takes 90% of the wind off your chest and probably 50% off your head. Makes 75 on the highway feel like 40.

Seems like the Rifle company got real busy after SOA came out. Everyone loves the Roadster fairing but the Nightflight looks better in my opinion. I have a Roadster on one bike and the smaller Nightflight for 7" headlight on the other. The Nightflight is way more aerodynamic with less wind buffeting. They offer them for the smaller headlight size but you have to use sidemount brackets.
Im trying to decide between the HD fairing and the Rifle. My decision is based on the buffeting factor... Ive read a few different threads where some cant seem to get rid of the buffeting on the rifle, and the tilt adjustment on the HD is nice... Was looking to go with the 18" screen so I wouldnt get so much of an soa reference, haha. Was also hoping for less buffeting. Looking to do some hard miles soon, and a fairing is definitely in sight for the fxdb. Any updates on adjustment and outcomes would be appreciated, thanks.
