Default Is there an OEM battery Substitute for Less Money?

So, I need another new battery for the season to start. I had it hooked to a trickle charger but I guess it's just time for a new one.

I would usually just go and but the OEM AGM one from my local Harley store, but am wondering if I can save a few bucks here?

Someone I work with told me to just go to the tractor store and buy one there; said it would be a lot cheaper and work just as well for longer.

Has anyone found a good replacement?

Get a big crank from http://www.batterymart.com/ it is made by the same company that makes the oem batteries.

Also check your local NAPA store, they also sell the same battery, but it is branded NAPA.

If you really had it on a trickle charger you probably cooked it. Battery maintainer is what you want.

The big crank from batterymart is by far a very popular choice by many. For my Electraglide it's $109 and free shipping. ( was $99 not that long as but they must of raised the price recently) So I checked around and found this site www.chromebattery.com they claim to be made in USA (Indiana) and the price can't be beat $77 free shipping. Reviews seemed good so I went for it. Can't review it yet myself as I just received it yesterday. Battery looks good. Threw it on my float charger overnight and will install today. Only time will tell!

I went with a "Duracell" from my local "battery+" store. Been great and was about $80 cheaper then the oe from the dealer.

Actually, BatteryMart has package deals where you can buy a Big Crank battery AND Battery Tender and still be cheaper than a MoCo battery.
