Electrical system warning light
After install, and about an hour into a ride, the electrical system warning light illuminated on the speedometer. I then discovered the brake lights activated and staying on whenever the ignition is turned on.
I'm thinking that the Jagg fan being powered through the piggyback dual-connector to the brake light switch is not compatible with the Kuryakyn brake controller?? Possibly this occurs once the oil filter fan turns on when the engine oil hits temperature. I disconnected the piggyback dual-connector to the brake light switch and this corrected the problem. Also, after the engine cools the brake lights do not remain activated and the electrical warning light is no longer illuminated even with the piggyback dual-connector attached to the brake light switch.
Does my guess that the Kuryakyn Rear Run-Turn-Brake controller (#5497) isn't compatible with an electrical device connected for power through the brake light switch once it starts drawing power sound correct? Or should I be looking elsewhere for the problem?
I've disconnected the fan's power at the brake light switch and plan to see if this solves the problem on my next ride.

Harley uses the CAN-BUS system on 2011 - 2013 Softails and 2014 - 2015 All Models.
On CAN-BUS systems all electrical components must be CAN-BUS compatible. Basicly CAN-BUS components can communicate with the ECM. If that communication is non-existent or corrupted then the ECM will throw errors.
Most folks with CAN-BUS systems find it much less nerve racking connecting their aftermarket components directly to the battery bypassing the CAN-BUS system.
Extended test ride with the fan's power disconnected resulted in no warning light.
