ok, 2008 road king, stock as stock can be. security system is giving me problems, not all the time just once in a while. what it is doing is the red security key light on the speedo dash is staying on sometimes. and when it does I lose my turn signals. have new batteries in the fobs. antenna is in it's proper place. usually does it after I've rode for a while. any ideas besides buying a new bike?
thought maybe it was our fobs for the Nissan, turns out that wasn't the case. yesterday things were fine until the wife plugged her I phone into the usb port on the tour pak. got the steady security red light and lost my turn signals. unplugged the phone, shut the engine down and restarted and things were fine for the rest of the trip. I hate electrical gremlins!
I am having a similar problem with my 2005 Road King Classic. Stock bike except pipes... I lost speedo, signals, brake lights, and Cruise Control when I hit the horn.
I checked the fuses, and I tested a new relay where I could find one under the seat... but no avail. Little red light comes on after I start it and stays on. Any ideas?

Please start your own thread, but I would check for DTC codes first as the red security light is an indicator that there is a code recorded. Does this happen EVERY time you hit the horn or just once in a while. If it is not every time then the horn and everything else may not be connected. Check all of the grounds for the circuits, I would bet that you may find a tie point that is loose.
