What is everyone running for a headlight? the stock one sucks. I have adjusted and it is better but you can over drive at 65mph speed limit, and forget dim, you cant see ****
Looking at Harley daymaker but do you do projection or reflector? pros and cons? I've read some about the truck lite? and HID bulbs in factory housing.
I switched my 2015 FLHXS headlamp out for the HD Daymaker. Payed up for it too. It is a BIG improvement, but there could be better aftermarket solutions. Mine works fine for me as I don't ride at night except when I have to. Too many dear on the road in my part of the country. On the other hand I dont think you can over light up your bike for viability even during day light. My next front end addition will be a running light bar.
I've heard that the trucklite is better for your visibility. And way cheaper than the daymaker. I use a bulb that I got from ebay or amazon, can't remember which one. I have no complaints whatsoever with it. The part number was MT15-3F if that helps. I almost never get cut off or have people pull out in front of me, which are both big problems here in South Florida. Also, I have no problems seeing at night

I run the HD Daymaker reflector. Ordered it through Manchester Harley Superstore for considerably less than MSRP. I like it. It is not without shortcomings, but it looks good and works well.
