Additional Lighting
I am wanting to add additional lighting to my 2014 Limited. The dealer tells me that I may not add lights that they have to go through the computer. Wondering if I am being fed a bill of goods? Or...if I am being sold more labor costs?

Your 2014 bike has a CAN-BUS electrical system. In theory all electrical accessories must be CAN-BUS compatible. Compatible just means the ECM can communicate to the electrical accessory via the CAN-BUS system. Most aftermarket electrical accessories are not CAN-BUS compatible.
The way to get around this is by getting 12 volt power directly from the battery and bypassing the CAN-BUS system.
