Default Alarm help

I had to replace my master switch yesterday, not that it is installed, I cannot walk away from the bike without the alarm going off. If I walk back with the fob it shuts off the alarm, so the bike knows the fob, but the moment I get out of range the darned alarm goes off. Is there anything simple I can do at home to fix this? The manual does not say anything about this kind of problem, and a search of multiple forums found nothing like this. The bike starts just fine.
Last night I simply put the fob on the seat to keep it quiet.

I think the first thing I would do is pull the master fuse for a few minutes then reinstall it to see if that doesn't reset things, if you do it, turn the ignition switch to on then pull the fuse, this will prevent the alarm from going off when the fuse is pulled.

I went out this morning after leaving the fob on the seat all night. Checked for any codes, there were none, so I figured let's see if the problem is still there. Took the fob and walked out of range. Everything works as it should today. HUMM??? Odd. But not going to complain. Will take it for a spin today and see if the problem returns..
