When I turn the the ignition on, the led display flashes erratically, the speedometer jumps. I get some relay clicks and the bcm/ecm compartment starts beeping erratically. If I disconnect the bcm. It all stops. But I'm pretty sure that kills all power too. When I turn the ignition off, I still get a few clicks and beeps. The battery drains down immediately as well. I'm willing to bypass the bcm just to see if that's it. I just don't know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Quick update: went out there without the fob and the display came up and asked to enter code. The display backlight was a little jumpy, but no weird beeps and clicks. Makes me think the bcm is causing the problem.
Check all of your earths.
There is one at the top of the transmission housing that has two leads coming from it.
Make sure both leads are secure by pulling on them as well as the nut being tight.
Also check the two earths on the frame to the left of the battery.
Hopefully it is something simple like this as the ECM requires good powers and earths to shut down correctly after key off. This may be the reason for the clicks and beeps and the battery drain after you turn the key off.
It is not really possible to bypass the BCM due to the nature of the electrical system on your bike.
