Default Tach Compatibility

I have the chance to get a Harley Davidson 67348-04A Tach. It lists as being from a 04-08 Touring (Ultra and Electra). Is the tach function compatible with a 2000 Heritage. I realize that the cruise and abs lights won't be active, but I need to know if the tach feed will work with a 2000 Heritage Springer. My ignition uses two 12 pin connectors. I will have to fab a handlebar mount. I assume (?) it will have tach, illumination, and ground wires ?

I had similar questions few months ago but then took my chance and tried. everything worked. my tach was off a 09 RK police and I mounted it on RKC, tach worked fine, illumination, cruise indicator and ABS, since my bike isn't ABS thus ABS light stayed lit in the tach and I could not eliminate it. Only could be done by the dealer to flash it to non ABS bike usage setting. does not bother me though!

In general what you have noted, it will work, just three connectors (+- and data)

Just did this on my 08 FLHRC. I found disconnecting the O/W (Accessory) wire shut off the ABS light.
