Hi guys: 2007 Dyna with a 7" Heritage headlight that's been mounted and working for 10,000 miles or so. The high beam stopped working. I turned it on in the daytime and noticed that the blue indicator light didn't come on. Checked the HB, and it wasn't working. Low beam works fine.
I checked the fuses and they were good. I put in a new bulb today and have the same problem.
I'm wondering if the indicator bulb went bad, and that opened the circuit and is preventing the HB from working? I don't figure the circuitry works that way, but who knows?
I'm not too good with electrical stuff, so please go easy.
I take it out, tried stock one and it worked....so I used WD specialist contact spray and sprayed all contacts in lef lights and adapter and put it back together....it works now.....
Having similar issue with 07 SG. I've already replaced a good bulb and the socket. Torqued battery terminals. Also traced as far in as I could follow. No visible damage to white nor yellow. No visible burn marks from arcing at the frame. Lights are good in the on position. Headlight fuse blows whenever starting. Symptoms are also only observed with fairing installed. Theories are that part of the headlamp housing, like the retainer clip, is somehow lightly touching the forks or there's' a bad connection in the starter control mod.
